Why OptecAus exists
Everyone's talking about AI transformation right now. Almost no one can tell you what that actually means for their business, or where to start. That gap — between the buzzword and the reality — is why OptecAus exists.
I'm Yaser Mirza, founder of OptecAus Consulting. Before this, I spent my career inside large-scale technology project delivery in government and enterprise — as Test Manager and Acting Manager of Project Delivery Service at SAPOL (South Australia Police), and in project delivery at UnitingCare Queensland. Alongside that, I published academic research (2017–2021) on application portfolio management, cloud adoption, and IT-to-operations transitions in government settings.
That background taught me something most "AI consultants" haven't had to learn: strategy on a slide means nothing until it's actually delivered, tested, and running. So that's how OptecAus works — we diagnose what's really going on in the business, align technology and AI strategy to it, and then build and implement it ourselves.
Who we work with
OptecAus works with SMEs — businesses that know something needs to change but aren't always sure whether the problem is strategy, operations, or technology. We're based in Brisbane and open to clients anywhere.
How we work
Calm, plain-spoken, no jargon for its own sake. We'd rather explain something clearly than sound impressive. And when it matters, we can draw on real delivery experience in government and enterprise — not just advice, but a track record of actually building things that work.
